Barbosa, Vicente

Barbosa, Vicente a Portuguese Theatine, was born at Redondo in 1663, and died in Lisbon in 1711. He wrote an interesting work upon the island of Borneo, taken from the writings of the Theatine envoys sent to convert the inhabitants (Lisbon, 1692). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
