Barbosa, Joze

Barbosa, Joze a Portuguese theologian and historiographer, brother of Diogo, was born in Lisbon in 1674. He entered the Order of the Theatines, and died in 1750, leaving a number of works on the history of the royal family, for which see Biog. Universelle, s.v.
