Banuas

Ban'uas (Βάννος, Vulg. Bamis), a name of a Levite occurring in the lists of those who returned from captivity (1 Esdras 5:26); this, with the following name, answers to HODAVIAH SEE HODAVIAH (q.v.) or Hodevah in the parallel lists of Ezra (2. 40) and Nehemiah (7. 43).
