Badger, Stephen
Badger, Stephen a Congregational minister, was born at Charlestown, Mass., in 1725. He graduated at Harvard College in 1747, and spent his life as a missionary among the Indians at Natick, Mass., where he was ordained March 27, 1753. The fifth volume of the Massachusetts Historical Collections contains an article concerning the American Indians, and especially those of Natick, of which he is the author. He died in the last-named place, Aug. 28, 1808. See Sprague, Annals of the Amer. Pulpit; i, 302.
