Badalocchio, Sisto
Badalocchio, Sisto (surnamed Rosa), an Italian painter and engraver, was born at Parma in 1581. He was of the school of Annibale Caracci, by whom he was highly esteemed for design. His principal engravings are the series known as The Bible of Raphael, which were executed by him in conjunction with Lanfranc. His paintings are few in number, but the best of them are at Parma.
