Bacon, Robert
Bacon, Robert an eminent English divine, was born about 1168, and studied at Oxford, where he subsequently read divinity lectures. He is thought to have been either the father or the elder brother of Roger Bacon. His death occurred in 1248. He wrote, Glosses on the Holy Scripture :-On the Psalter: — Discourses and Lectures.
