Babmeus

Babmeus was a leading member of the Nestorian Church planted by Barsumas in Persia, who, though originally a layman, and as such married, succeeded Acacius as archbishop or patriarch of Seleucia, after a two years vacancy of the see, in the year 496. Babaeus thus became the head of the Persian Church, in which capacity he summoned a synod by-which the Nestorian body was completely organized.
