Azzolini (or Mazzolini), Giovanni Bernardino
Azzolini (or Mazzolini), Giovanni Bernardino a Neapolitan painter, flourished about 1510. In Genoa, where he resided, there are several of his works in the different churches. In the Church of San Giuseppe are two pictures by him representing the Annunciation and the Martyrdom of St. Apollonia, which are very much praised by Soprani. He excelled in wax- work.
