Azaphion

Aza'phion (Α᾿σσαπφιώθ), given in 1 Esdras 5:33, as the first named of the family heads of the "sons of Solomon's servants" that returned from Babylon; apparently meaning the SOPHERETH SEE SOPHERETH (q.v.) of the genuine text (Ezr 2:55), where the Hebrews has the article, הִסֹּפֶרֶת, has-Sophereth.
