Aybar, Pedro Ximenes

Aybar, Pedro Ximenes a Spanish painter, lived at Calatayud near the close of the 17th century. He had for his master Francisco Ximenes of Tarragona, whose style he adopted. He executed in 1682 for the collegiate Church of Santa Maria at Calatayud three paintings: The Holy Family :-The Epiphany:-The Nativity. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
