Aventinus, St of Chitraudun
Aventinus, St. Of Chitraudun, was made bishop of Chartres after St. Souleinus, who had been elected against his will, but fled to avoid the dignity conferred upon him. In the subscriptions of the: councils of his time Aventinus is sometimes called bishop of Chartres, and sometimes of Chateaudun. He died in 528. See Baillet, Feb. 4.
