Aveillon, Jean Joseph

Aveillon, Jean Joseph a French theologian, was born in Paris in. 1620. He entered the congregation of the Oratory, and there published the Conferences, which he had prepared at Paris while he was superior of the house. He was intimate with Bossuet. Aveillon died May 29, 1713. He wrote Meditations pour les Seminaires et pour les Gens du Monde. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
