Augustinus Patricius (2)
Augustinus Patricius (2), Cave makes to be the same with the last, but Dupin expressly says is different from him, and that he was secretary of cardinal Piccolomini. He flourished about 1480, and wrote a History of the Assembly of Ratisbon, where he was present with the cardinal whom Paul II sent to demand succor of the Germans against the Turks. He also wrote, at the desire of his master, a History of the Councils of Basle and Florence, which is given in Labbe, 13:1488. See Cave, Historia Literaria, ii, app. p. 193; Dupin, Hist. Ecclesiastical Writers, iii, 75.
