Atto, the Blesse
Atto, The Blesse was a native of Badajoz, Spain, according to some, or of Florence, according to other writers, general of the Order of Vallombrosa, and raised to the see of Pistoja in 1133. After governing the Church for twenty years, he died in 1153. He wrote, Life of J. Gualbertus, the founder of his order (Madrid, 1612. [?]):--Life of St. Bernard, Abbot of St. Salvus, Bishop of Parma and Card.:-Quce S.
