Astesano

Astesano an Italian theologian, native of Asti, in Piedmont, gained a certain celebrity as a casuist. He died in 1330. He wrote Summa de Casibus Conscientice, or Summa Astesana, published for the first time in 1469, and reprinted several times down to the 16th century. See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. Generale, s.v.
