Assumption of Moses

Assumption Of Moses, an apocryphal book so called, said to contain an account of the death of Moses and of the translation of his soul to Paradise. Some have supposed that the particulars of the combat between St. Michael and the devil, alluded to in the Epistle of Jude (ver. 9), were contained in this book (Moreri, who cites Calmet).-J. A.
