Ashbel
Ash'bel (Heb. Ashbel', אִשׁבֵּל, prob. for Eshbaal; Sept. Α᾿σβήλ; in Numbers Α᾿σουβήλ v. r. Α᾿συβήρ), the second son of Benjamin (Ge 46:21; 1Ch 8:1). B.C. 1856. SEE JEDIAEL. His descendants were called Ashbelites ( Nu 26:38). SEE BECHER.
