Arnold, Pranz

Arnold, Pranz a German theologian, native of Cologne, lived in the early part of the 16th century. He was one of the most distinguished adversaries of Luther. He wrote, Antwort auf das Biiuchein Lutheri uider den kaiserlichen Abschied (Dresden, 1531):-Der Unpartheyische Laye (without the name of the author). This was a violent attack against Luther, who replied in the pamphlet entitled Wider den Meuchler zu Dresden, which called forth from Arnold, Auf das Schmahbuichlein Luthers (Dresden, 1531).
