Arnold of Wesel
(Haldrenius Vesaliensis),a learned German theologian, was a native of Wesel. He taught the Greek language and literature at Cologne, and became canon of the metropolitan chapter of that place. He died in 1534. Amang other works he wrote, Exegesis Decalogi Pia maximeque Dissertissina, cum nonnullis allis (Cologne, 1536): — Consultatio Quadruplex super Confessione Augustana quorundam -Protestantium una cum lo. Cochleeo (1554):-Partifio Locorum Communium Christianee Religionis (ibid. and Louvain, 1557):-De Vera Ecclesia Christi, contra Phil. Metancthonis Responsionem pro Bucero (Ingolst. 1544).
