Anthony, St, of Lithuania
Anthony, St., Of Lithuania, a martyr, met his death at Wilna in 1328, by Olgar, grand-duke of Lithuania. He had, with his brother, renounced Paganism, in order to embrace the Christian religion. The grandduke of Lithuania, having tried in vain to cause them to renounce the new faith, put them to death. The anniversary of these saints and martyrs is celebrated April 14. See Hoefer, Nouv.
