Ansbert

Ansbert ST., was born in the early part of the 7th century at Chaussi, a village in Vexin, France. He was bishop of Rouen after the death of St. Ouen, in A.D. 683, and assisted the states of the kingdom assembled at Clichy by Thierri III. Pepin, mayor of the palace, deceived by the enemies of Ansbert, banished him to a monastery in Hainaut to end his days in the performance of religious duties. He died in 698.
