Andrew, Asbury

Andrew, Asbury, a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Caroline County, Md., in 1825. He removed to the vicinity of Fort Wayne, Ind., in 1833; experienced conversion in 1840; and in 1845 entered the Indiana Conference, in which he filled acceptably the appointments assigned him until his superannuation, which took place six years previous to his death. He died July 19, 1870. Mr. Andrew was a man of deep piety and respectable preaching ability. See Minutes of Annual Conf., 1871, p. 114.
