Allyn, Henry

Allyn, Henry a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born at Windsor, Conn., about 1813. He emigrated to Illinois in 1832; was converted in his seventeenth year, and received license to preach in 1839. Six years later he was ordained deacon, in 1850 elder, and in 1851 entered the Southern Illinois Conference, wherein he labored until his death, Nov. 27, 1855.
