Alenio, Giulio
Alenio, Giulio an Italian Jesuit, was born at Brescia in 158.2. He travelled in the East, and arrived at Macao in 1610, where he taught mathematics. Thence he went to China, where he propagated Christianity for thirty-six years, travelling over the country in Chinese costume, and built several churches in the province of Fo-kien.
