Ale, Egidius

Ale, Egidius, a Flemish painter, was born at Liege, and flourished in. the latter part of the 17th century. He went to Rome and adopted the style, and painted in conjunction with Morandi, Romanelli, and Bonatti. He executed an altar piece in oil and the ceilings of the chapels in fresco for the Church of Santa Maria dell Anima at Rome. He died in 1689.
