Aikin, John C L

Aikin, John C. L., a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, was born in Alabama in 1820. He professed religion in his sixteenth year, and in 1847 was received into the Alabama Conference. In 1849 he was transferred to the Arkansas Conference. Failing health in 1859 compelled him to take a supernumerary relation, which he held until his death, May 17,1866.
