Aholibah
Ahol'ibah (Hebrew Oholibah', אָהַלַיבָה, for בָהּ אָהַלַי, my tent is in her; Sept. Ο᾿ολιβά v. r. Ο᾿λιβά; Vulg. Ooliba), a symbolical name given to Jerusalem (Eze 23:4,11,22,36,44) under the figure of an adulterous harlot, as having once contained the true worship of Jehovah, but having prostituted herself to foreign idolatries (Havernik, Comment. in loc.). SEE AHOLAH.
