Agathodaemon

Agathodaemon, in Greek mythology, was the Grecian name for the Egyptian Knepih-snake. SEE AESCULAPIUS. It was also a good deity to whose memory a glass of unmixed wine was drunk at the end of meals, and to whom a temple was built in Arcadia.
