Agapius, Bishop of Cesarea

Agapius, Bishop Of Cesarea, succeeded Theotenus towards the end of the 3d century. Eusebius, his contemporary, praises him for his knowledge, the laborious character of his episcopate, and his great liberality towards the poor. He ordained St. Pamphilus a presbyter (Eusebius, Hist. Eccles. vii, 32; Niceph. vi, 37).
