Adorno, Giovanni Agostino
Adorno, Giovanni Agostino, an Italian priest, founder of the Congregation of Regular Clerks Minors, was descended from the ancient family of the Adorni. He laid the first foundation of the order at Naples in 1588, and received the approval of Sixtus V. He died at Naples, Sept. 29,1 591. See Moreri, who cites Aubert le Mire, De Cong.
