Adami, Johann Christian
Adami, Johann Christian, a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born Jan. 13 1662. at Luckau, in Lower Lusatia. He studied at Wittenberg; was in 1684 appointed deacon in his native place; advanced in 1687 as archdeacon; and in 1691 as pastor there. In 1694 he became a licentiate of theology at Wittenberg; in 1700 he was made doctor of theology; and in 1711 he was appointed general superintendent and first preacher at Luibbeln, where-he died.
