Abeel, John Nelson

Abeel, John Nelson D.D., a minister of the Reformed Dutch Church, who was born in 1769, graduated in 1787 at Princeton, and was licensed to preach in April, 1793. In 1795 he became one of the clergy of the Collegiate Dutch Church in New York, where he continued until his death, Jan. 20, 1812. He was an eloquent preacher, and a man of great and deserved influence.
