Abbott, Samuel
Abbott, Samuel a wealthy philanthropist, who died at Andover, Mass., April 30, 1812, at the age of eighty years, was a merchant of Boston; and on the establishment of the Andover Theological Seminary, in 1807, he gave $20,000, and in his will bequeathed it $100,000 more.
