Abbot, Benjamin
Abbot, Benjamin LL.D., a Unitarian minister, was a native of Andover, Mass. He graduated at Harvard College in 1788, and immediately afterwards took charge of the academy in Exeter. This position he held, with the highest reputation, until 1838, when he resigned. He spent the remainder of his days in Exeter, and died in 1811, See Sprague, Annals of the Amer. Pulpit, 8, 466.
